Playing Guitar Hero 2 & 3 with a … | Jugando Guitar Hero 2 y 3 con un(a)…

Before the arrival of Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour, there was someone who was enjoying GH2 in another way. He wasn’t able to use one of his fingers, which was a great inconvenience, but his dedication to the game made him to perfect something in order for him to continue having fun with Guitar Hero 2 and obtain one of the game’s most difficult achievements. Here there are 3 videos in which Egyokeo demonstrates his abilities with … (you’ll see) in GH2 and GH3 for Xbox 360. Egyokeo would not have been able to achieve this without the help of his high school teacher (Jason), Dave (from xim360.com) and OBsIV (creator of Xim).

6-Year-Old Girl Designs GameStop’s 2008 Holiday Gift Card

6-Year-Old Girl Designs GameStop’s 2008 Holiday Gift Card
Company Will Donate $1 to Make-A-Wish Foundation for Every Gift Card Purchased

GRAPEVINE, Texas, Nov 28, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Dallas-area resident Mary McKenzie is helping GameStop raise funds this holiday season for the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R). She had the honor of creating artwork for GameStop Corp.’s (NYSE: GME) 2008 holiday gift card. The 6-year-old first grader is a frequent customer of GameStop, the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer. Her artwork depicts a colorful holiday scene complete with an angel, snowman, tree and reindeer.

McKenzie often submits her drawings to GameStop staff in the metroplex, so when Chris Olivera, vice president of corporate communications and public affairs at the retailer, heard about her drawings, he knew she would be the perfect person to illustrate this year’s holiday card.

“We were already in the planning stages for a holiday card that would benefit our corporate partner, the Make-A-Wish Foundation,” Olivera said. “I heard about Mary’s love of GameStop and her hope to help grant a wish someday for a child, so we asked her to help us design the card.”

For every gift card purchased between now and Dec. 26, GameStop will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $300,000.

“During the holidays, we have a lot of parents and grandparents who want to buy games as gifts, but they aren’t quite sure which title would be the right one,” said Dan DeMatteo, chief executive officer for GameStop. “By selecting a gift card, gift givers can be assured the gamers on their lists will be thrilled, and they have the added bonus of helping a worthy nonprofit like the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”

GameStop is proud to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation as its national nonprofit partner by helping gaming and shopping spree wishes come true for children across the country. The retailer has been working with the Foundation since 2007.

Resident Evil 5: New release date | Nueva fecha de estreno

Biohazard 5 | Resident Evil 5

Biohazard 5 | Resident Evil 5

Capcom has just changed the Japanese release date of Resident Evil 5 to a week earlier. Fans of the Resident Evil series will get to play the game starting on March 5, 2009, instead of the original March 12, 2009 date. Because of the great success the series got with Resident Evil 4 some years ago and its Future Award at TGS 2008, fans can’t wait to play RE5, a game which will more likely be one of the best ones of 2009.

Capcom’s “Resident Evil 5″ Release Date Moved Forward One Week in Japan
- Latest entry in mega-hit franchise set for release on March 5, 2009 -

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce that due to shortened development time, the release of the Japanese version of “Resident Evil 5″ on PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360™ has been moved forward one week from March 12, 2009 to March 5, 2009. The release date for North America and Europe, however, remains unchanged.

“Resident Evil 5″ was presented to high acclaim at the Tokyo Game Show 2008, which was held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from October 9 to 12 of this year. The Japan Game Award awarded the Future Award to “Resident Evil 5″ as the title with the highest user anticipation. In response to this anticipation, Capcom has succeeded in shortening the development period, and we are pleased to announce that fans in Japan will be able to play the game on March 5, 2009, a week earlier than originally announced. We hope this will please the many fans of the Resident Evil series in Japan.

The change of the Japanese release date should not have a significant impact on overall sales.

1. Title: Resident Evil 5
2. Genre: Survival horror
3. Platforms: PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360™
4. Release Date: Japan: March 5, 2009 (Changed); North America: March 13, 2009; Europe: March 13, 2009.

Bejeweled Twist: A new weight loss theory?! | ¡¿Una nueva teoría de pérdida de peso?!

Anne Diamond calls for volunteers to play Bejeweled Twist and put a new weight loss theory to the test

26th November 2008: When broadcaster and health campaigner Anne Diamond reviewed some videogames earlier this year, her damnation was so scathing that it overshadowed The Byron Review, a major government-commissioned report on the subject. Fast forward eight months and the leading health campaigner is now working with researchers to test a theory that certain casual games may actually help weight loss and she’s recruiting volunteers for a clinical trial to put the theory to the test.

This study was prompted by work already undertaken in the U.S. by East Carolina University research published in May 2008 which showed casual videogames relieved stress [see the following for more information - www.ecu.edu/cs-admin/news/releases/2008/4/ecupopcapstudy04282008.cfm].
