Today’s Microsoft presentation caught the attention of many faithful fans with the various announcements. From the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to the introduction of the Lumia 950 models and HoloLens, today was perhaps the day the Redmond company has wanted in many years.

*Surface Book rises
The revelation of the Microsoft Surface Book is redefining what we know as laptops. This being the first laptop created by Microsoft, the company seems to have well-thought out what features to include to make this model outshine.

Among the parts of the laptop: 6th Generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, 13.5-inch PixelSense with 267 dpi (making it easy to write as people would normally do on a piece of paper), detachable screen, and an optional GPU for better graphics used in video editing.

*Surface Pro 4: Is it a tablet or a laptop?
For Microsoft, it’s “most powerful tablet that can replace your laptop.” It’s 30% faster than a Surface Pro 3 (and also quieter) and 50% faster than a MacBook Air. The new Surface Pro 4 Type Cover, also compatible with Surface Pro 3, turns the device from a tablet to a laptop and comes with a mechanical keyboard and fingerprint reader (optional). Let’s not forget the Surface Pen, with “1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, letting you write, draw and mark documents with precision ink on one end and an eraser on the other.” The Surface Pen seems like a great addition as well.

*HoloLens is coming to developers
Perhaps the most exciting part of the presentation for gamers. Whatever the purpose is up to the developer who wants to take advantage of this holographic computer. Interested developers can now apply for the Microsoft HoloLens Development Edition and will start arriving in Q1 2016 at a hefty price of $3000. Perhaps the Project X demo has tempted some people to pay more attention to this device.

*Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: The first Windows 10 Lumia phones
These phones have shown they’re powerful enough to bring Windows 10 to big TVs and be used as devices for productivity, just like PCs and tablets, thanks to Continuum and the MS Display Dock accessory. Besides its PC-like capabilities, it brings 4K video (uploadable to OneDrive), 20-megapixel sensors, triple LED natural flash (no more red eyes), and more, which make them both more attractive.

*Microsoft Band 2
It features a curved display to wear it comfortably, the use of Cortana to set reminders and reply to messages, an optical heart rate monitor, and on-board GPS, and can be used with the Microsoft Health app.
