Square Enix: “CoreOnline” – ‘High Definition Games in Your Browser’ | ‘Juegos de alta definición en tu navegador’

[EN]: Did you know Square Enix is bringing PC games to a browser near you? SE has launched its CoreOnline service, and today it added one new game to its service. Hitman: Blood Money, the 2006 game released by IO Interactive, is now available. The titles in CoreOnline are free-to-play, but you have to earn game time by watching advertisements. Think Hulu on your PC but for gaming (free; with ads), or think Gaikai. Here on CoreOnline, you can choose which commercials to watch, and different commercials give you different amount of minutes.

Watch the trailer of the CoreOnline service and of one of its games, Hitman: Blood Money, being played on a PC. I recommend you to try it. I like it.

Nintendo updates Internet Channel and Flash | Nintendo actualiza el Canal Internet y Flash

English | Español

Nintendo is not only giving away its Internet Channel starting today, it has also updated something many users have been asking for: Adobe Flash. Though it isn’t the latest version of Flash we have in our PCs, at least version 9,1,122,0 of the plug-in on our Wii consoles will allow us to do more things than before online. In North America, users who have purchased the browser (like me) will be able to download a free Virtual Console NES game starting in late October until year’s end. Iwill now be able to watch Super Mario Bros Z episodes on the console without any problems. The new version of the plug-in on the Wii will not play current Flash 10 specific content. One example: if you try the main Adobe site. You won’t see any animation working on that page, but if you want to find out what specific Flash version you got, Flash does work in that case [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/].

Augmented Reality on Your Phone | La realidad aumentada en tu teléfono

Perhaps the next killer application. Why? Because it brings information into your camera-enable mobile  phone wherever you point it to. Augmented Reality is becoming the next great main feature for phones and computers as well and it could change the way we get information in real-time and play games. It’s one of the technologies I’m really looking forward to. Read the following press release and watch the video.
