[EN]: Insomniac Games has released today an update to let players transfer their Spider-man PS4 save files to Marvel’s Spider-man Remastered on PS5.
“Overnight we released an update for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 bringing those suits, and the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. We also updated Remastered to allow import of those exported saves and with many additional fixes (incl. rest mode crash),” says the tweet.
Back in September, Insomniac Games announced the transfer was not going to be supported, disappointing many Spider-fans.
It was earlier this month when the developer announced it would make the export possible close to Thanksgiving.
Fans who own the PS4 game and were able to get the PS5 and Remastered can now make the transfer with the latest update of each game. However, the option won’t appear on Remastered until it recognizes the save file.
“Just to be clear. You must use the PS4 game to export your save. Remastered cannot see a save until it is exported by the PS4 game. This is the way,” said James Stevenson, Community Director at Insomniac. “If you plan to export from the PS4 game running on backwards compatibility on PS5, you may need to restart your console after applying the latest PS4 update/patch for it to work.”
