[EN]: US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accepted an invitation from Jagmeet Singh Dhaliwal, leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party and criminal defense lawyer, to live-stream gameplay of the popular video game “Among Us.”
The Twitch live-stream is scheduled for tomorrow Friday at 7pm EST / 4pm PT and will be seen simultaneously on their own Twitch channels.
Jagmeet (pronounced like “hug” in English or with the use of the Spanish “J” at the beginning) Singh, currently has 4.7K followers on Twitch, though the numbers of his followers keeps increasing. AOC currently has over 740,000 Twitch followers.
It seems like the popularity of Among Us is uniting more people during the coronavirus pandemic. How often do you get two political personalities who are into gaming and are from different countries to play a popular video game?
Perhaps AOC made the right move last month when her first-ever live-stream broke records on Twitch, with the presence of streamers such as Pokimane and HasanAbi, among others. More than 435,000 concurrent viewers watched AOC play. After the live broadcast, the three-hour-thirty-one-minute video has had more than 5.6 million views.
